UNDER 19 – RED CARD HOLDERS

At our recent AGM a resolution from Bowls Southern Cape was referred to the Executive of Bowls SA for a decision. The resolution is repeated here below for ease of reference:

“That the Executive withdraw the using of the Red Card Membership to students and revise the qualifications for participating in the Under 19 Development Tournament. That all players under 19 years of age, who have not played bowls for one year, will be eligible for participation in the Development Tournament”.

After careful consideration it has been decided that from 2009 the following shall apply at the Development Tournament.

•	The distribution of Red Cards are to be retained in order to:

a)	Identify unaffiliated players.

b)	Allow these players access to the greens.

All players under the age of 19, both affiliated and unaffiliated become eligible for selection to participate in the Development Tournament.
