2008- AFRICAN STATES

We hereby formally inform the bowling fraternity that Bowls SA found it necessary to withdraw from the above tournament. In the opinion of the Executive it was no longer possible to guarantee the safety of our team.

The decision was taken after extensive consultation and owing to the unstable political climate currently prevailing in Southern Africa. It was felt that it would be in all our best interests to inform the organizers at an early stage.
